Vincent was 19 years old when he was ordained in Château-l’Évêque, near Périgueux on September 23rd, 1600. Due to this early ordination, it was very surprising to know that he was ordained even though he was still young. It was required for the student to be 24 years old to be ordained by Council of Trent.
