First fact is about when he born. George Herbert Leigh Malory was born on 18th June 1886. It was in Mobberley, Cheshire. Nobody recognized him in the first place that he was going to become mountaineer.

It was in 1921 when he became the part of expedition to conquer North Col of Mount Everest. Later in 1922, he and Edward Norton also Howard Somervell reached the crest of Northy-East Ridge of the mountain. The fact, they didn’t use any bottle of oxygen.

In June 1924, he tried to conquer Mount Everest again. He conducted it with Noel Odell and Andrew Irvine. Yet, they died and never returned home. It was never known whether they reached the summit of the mountain or not before they died.
