The RNLI Facts talk about the largest charitable organization in the world, which has the aim to save the life of the people at the sea. The RNLI stands for Royal National Lifeboat Institution operated at the coasts of Ireland, United Kingdom, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. RNLI was established as National Institution for the Preservation of Life from Shipwreck in 1824. In 1860, the Royal Charter was granted for this institution. The patron of RNLI is Queen Elizabeth II. RNLI is operated from the donations and legacies. The volunteers, which include the lifeboat crewmembers, are not paid.

RNLI owns 444 lifeboats and 237 lifeboat stations. The lifeguards from RNLI are found in at least 200 beaches. There was a report in 2015, which stated that 22 people had been saved by RNLI in a day.

The RNLI Facts 5: the education and training

RNLI provides education and training for all people with different ages.  The education volunteers would like to inform the young people and children about the beach safety. In a week, RNLI have trained at least 800 children.

Since the first foundation of RNLI, there have been at least 140,000 lives saved by the institution.
